Ramses II was effective in his religious policy because he was a devoted follower of the traditional Egyptian religion and actively promoted the worship of Amun-Ra, the chief deity of the Egyptian pantheon. He made numerous temples dedicated to gods and goddesses, allowing the widespread worship of monotheism. His policy with the gods and Maat pleased the gods, allowing him to have good luck given to him by the gods. Though Ramses II worshipped many gods, a significant amount of tribute was given to Amen. This is because Rameses II believed that Amen was responsible for Rameses II's great ‘victory’ at the Battle of Kadesh.

His 66-year reign is noted for military achievements, including the Battle of Kadesh and a peace treaty with the Hittites. Ramses II was also a great builder, creating many structures like the Abu Simbel temples, the hall at Karnak, and more. His reign brought wealth and strength to Egypt, leaving a long-lasting legacy in the politics and culture of Ancient Egypt.

I believe Ramses II is a great builder. His buildings, such as the temples at Abu Simbel and the Ramesseum, demonstrate his ambition to leave a lasting legacy, the scale, and number of constructions he's built show the wealth and resources available to him during his reign. Many of Ramses’ building projects had great spiritual significance, showing his devotion to the gods and his role as the representative of the gods. The hieroglyphics and inscriptions on these structures often depict his achievements in battle, showcasing his strength as a warrior king. Ramses' buildings' design emphasises his custom of the arts and the high level of craftsmanship achieved during his time.

I believe Ramses II was a great pharaoh when it came to internal administration. His reign was marked by extensive building programs, including temples, cities, and monuments, serving religious and propagandistic purposes. The wealth generated from his military conquests and trade expeditions was invested back into the country, fuelling its economy and funding his building projects. As the pharaoh, Ramses II was seen as a god on earth, and he reinforced this divine status by constructing grand temples and statues of himself. He maintained a well-organised administration, effectively managing the affairs of the state, including agriculture, commerce, and legal matters.

I believe Ramses II was an effective ruler in external administration because, during his rule, Ramses II embarked on military operations, enhancing the Egyptian empire's reach and cementing his image as a formidable warrior king. In the battle of Kadesh, he fought the Hittite Empire in a well-known encounter that ended in a draw, yet was celebrated as a victory in Egyptian records. During the Nubian campaigns, He undertook military actions to reinforce Egyptian sovereignty over Nubia, ensuring access to gold and trade. His Diplomatic Successes In addition to military strength, he consolidated Egypt's influence through diplomacy, highlighted by signing the earliest known peace treaty with the Hittites, establishing enduring peace and prosperity.
