In my neighborhood, I have access to green spaces in multiple ways. Our neighborhood park is 1/2 block from my house. There is a pond behind house. There are multiple walking paths that I can walk to or ride my bike to. There are longer trails just minutes a way by driving. I feel very fortunate to live next to multiple green spaces. The air in my neighborhood smells of sweet blossoms every spring. I am very grateful for this quiet, peaceful, sweet-smelling environment.

Living in GVR, I had access to 2 parks within less than 5 blocks away. Both parks were within walking distance and there were sidewalks available to reach them. One of the parks was technically part of a school, but the playground was open to the public. The other park also included a playground and a large space field for sports or other activities. Although I had access to these spaces, they were not always maintained and lacked up keeping.

I have a lot of places that I can walk in my neighborhood. Our sidewalks are removed from the main street, and I have nearby access to a major city park. However, I live in a neighborhood with very little diversity.

Our high school is very diverse, but the neighborhood it's in is not. Because we're a public school our lawn is just dirt. Our school had to apply for a grant so that we could get grass and landscaping.

While I have access to green spaces near my home, getting to these parks is not always easy. They also vary in cleanliness. The park in Denver is currently getting new playground equipment, but the park in Aurora hasn't been mowed in a while and there is a lot of traffic noise.

I live in a very diverse neighborhood with a mix of new, young couples and families that have lived here for a while. We do have green spaces close (rec centers and parks), but we have to drive to those spaces, which can make them inaccessible to marginalized groups.

I currently live in Aurora with a few parks/green spaces near me. However, I find myself favoring the parks located in Denver that are not too far from my house due to the maintenance, access, and availability that is not always seen with the Aurora parks.

Holly Hills doesn't have many green spaces near me. They barely have walkable sidewalks. They have more buildings and shopping complexes.
