         <title>The Fugitive Slave Act was signed on September 18th 1850. Abolitionists called it the “bloodhound law” because of the dogs used, they would pay you if you found a runaway slave.</title>

         <title>This wasn&#39;t the first time they signed this law. On February 4th 1793 the act was put in place for the first time. In 1793 the law was not taken very seriously. In the 1850 the law was amended to be taken  seriously.   </title>
