Our heroine throws herself into her new business with great excitement, although she soon discovers the upsides and downsides that come with it. Along the way she meets new people, boot good and bad, whom equally have a big impact on her life. 

By midpoint, she has a rude awakening. She's spent most of her childhood surrounded by kindness, but after two unfortunate experiences, she is stunted by the vilenss of humanity, and that in turn shatters her, making her lose a bit of herself. Having lost all confidence, she in turn loses her ability to fly, and in a fit of frustration, accidentally breaks her broomstick, causing her to believe she has lost her powers.

After a visit to a friend's, she is comforterted in the knowledge that she isn't alone in this situation. After all, self-doubt is apart of growing up and finding yourself. Once she stops trying so hard, she will find her way. 

A sudden emergency causes our heroine to return to town, with only the thought of a helpless young boy, whom she cares deeply for, to give her the strength to push past her fears and insecurites in order to save him. She is successful in the task, and in the process regains the confidence she thought she had lost. Her business soon thereafter, blossoms successfully.
