Verbal: Avoid conflicting statements whether it's a mess up in explaining the previous timeline of former employers or telling the interviewer that you had a 3.4 GPA when it says 3.6 on your resume. It can make you look not only unorganized but untrustworthy in some cases.

Nonverbal: Be aware of unintentional body language that might contradict your words. For example, you could be explaining that you are a very positive addition to a healthy work environment, but that may be hard for the interviewer to belive when you're slouched over and not smiling.
