I know that it’s one of the best ways to write about BIG ideas with a small amount. There’s lots of things that make a poem a poem like meter, syntax, diction, feet, yes even feet, and literally devices. There’s lots of poets who impacted the world and changed our trajectory with their words. There aren’t that many things that I can learn because I already know sooooo much. I even write these myself and have been doing it for so long. I love poetry.

I know: That it rhymes but not always

I know that it uses a lot of metaphors and similes and things like that

I know that it can be really powerful.

I know that there are a lot of different forms of poetry

I know that Shakespeare wrote in poetry
