Standard-Based Digital portfolios.
The first concept focuses on a program that allows teachers to connect teaching skills or curriculum as a way to show that new teacher candidates are qualified to receive a license or remain teaching in the school. I found this program very helpful because as a first year teacher it might be difficult to stay on track. So this program provides teachers with many helpful ideas and help them stay organized and on track.

Democratic Schools and Classrooms.
Democratic school are a place where students and teachers make decisions together about important aspects of education. Many students feel embarrassed or scared to express their opinion about something because they'll feel judge or feel like there answers are wrong. This concept allows students and teachers to discuss different topic without feeling judge or getting made fun of. I really found this method interesting because it allows the teachers and students to interact with each other and it gives the students the opportunity to express their opinion about a topic without getting judge.

Preassessments and Prior knowledge based learning.
Preassessment is when the teacher determine what the students knows prior before teaching the lesson or what they already know about the subject. As a teacher this is an important step to make because you learn what your students already know and your're not going over material that they know already. Going over this step is going to save the teacher a lot of time and help the students in the areas that they do need help. The same thing goes for Prior Knowledge based learning. Teachers need to be aware of what the students already know and connect that with their new lessons.
