I also predict that his past or parents past affect why the monsters come to him. Like the past affects the choices that happen in the future. Their is a thirteen year old boy who is having nightmares everyday about scary monsters that try to pull him out of bed and that scare inside of him affects his mood. When he wakes up from his horrifying dream he hears another monster trying to call his name but than he realizes this is not a dream. Once he meets the monster he wasn't as scared, like something in the past was more and more horrifying that what happened to him now like his mother's cancer. For Conor life is really hard in very different places more and more, school is hard cause he is bullied and he lost his friend. He dose not feel like he belongs at all and also has no friends. All of this happens cause after his mom got ill more he had to take care of her and lose his friend lily and people made fun of him. His loss might be the reason he gets that evil dream and why the monster is there to help heal him. To tell him the truth is not the dream it is his fear of his mothers illness or his mothers death maybe approaching. The bullying he approaches more and more towards. His Grandma is a very uplifted person trying to fix things, like trying to tell him that the treatment for his mom will eventually be gone its there to heal not fix and more over he has to be prepared for what will happen to his mom that she will be gone. Conor is having a rough time through out everything in life, and once the monster had the connection with Conor it changed the main characters life and how he saw everything. The Monster told him a story about a king, and a king who had a great life till he lost everyone even his brave sons and had to marry a evil wife and only had a grandchild. Than after the kings death the queen took over to rule and wanting evil desires for her rain, but the princes loved someone else but he really didn't he ran away and killed his love so he can blame it on the queen and terror off her evil and take over for the better kingdom. Overall the monster was trying to teach him that not everyone is good or bad most are in between, showing conor that their are going to people changing in different ways. Which shows what happens next he said that he wouldn't forgive Lily because she affected him in the past once were everything was good, and once Lily told everyone everything everyone pulled away from him and made fun of him like it was all his fault, and lastly his teachers took pity on him. All showing that once something really matters no one looks back and everyone is fake and hurts you. I think the monster will help Conor with his depression and his hard time in his life with the monsters stories he will help him teach a lesson make him feel strong finally. He will understand the fears in  life and how to face his battle. The monster is trying to probably trying to teach him how to be in control and take that action. The monster is also maybe going to be his only comfort as a friend, I think the monster is doing this because through out the story it states his stories the monster talks about and more and more the monster talks about how stories and everything connect with him, also how Conor has that non fear love towards the monster. I believe Connors grandma acted the way she did because she is having a hard time understand kids and she dose not realize that she dose not know how to react towards the specific situation. I know this statement is true because in the story when conor broke the perious items she had in her house she was very upset and was so angry at him that she didn't even give his a chance to speak at all, she isolated him and never gives him a choice through the though time Conor is having. She dose not understand that conor is a child a deserves that life of a child too. On the other hand his grandma also is very rude to conor's dad because she doesn't understand him at all and she wants to keep conor with her. I think she reacted this way because she is having a hard time realizing that her daughter is going through Chemo and that life is changing way to quickly and in order to serve justice for her daughter she has to bring home Conor but that changes her whole life.

Conors life is experiences are difficult and hard they tear him apart with feelings of misery. Each take the monster tells gives Conor a support or understanding in his life. For example in the text the first story talks about a prince who kills his love for the safety of the community from the queen, this story teaches Conor that not everybody is good or bad just in between making him have a better understanding of Lily and what she had done towards him and his grandma that hey are not evil or good but they are people trying to make a change and sometimes it will make somethings bad. On the other hand Conor also learned that his greats fear about his mom is in between and somethings have to be changed and put down and some kept. The second tale talks about selfishness is getting rid of and the power of healing which he need for his mom and that belief is only half of healing while doing and seeing is the biggest healing of all. Overall I though the movie was really good on fallowing the story line and making things seem like the book, but some accepts didn't quite get their to the book. Like the mom didn't look as sick as it seemed in the story and the character at the school doesn't seem like they have such a big affect on the character than in the story. Overall I think that the movie could of done a better job of expressing the feelings of the story a bit more because looking at a film perspective , we have movies for the enjoyment of various different emotions catching the viewers attention. For me two charters really would do a better justices towards the movie if the mom was more sick and show that emotion a bit more. In the movie it talks about the mom being sick but it didn't really express it as much and I wish that they could show her struggle a bit more her pain in both ways.
