         <description><![CDATA[<div>Honestly I don't believe I would have any other option other than to go over the top and make a charge through no-mans-land. I don't think I'd be able to live with myself after deserting fellow soldiers. My pride, country, and family would give me the heart to get out of the trench and press on. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I believe that it was a combination of strategy and tactics. It was strategic because the Germans were already mounting a large number of casualties, so this tactic of rushing the trench line made the most use out of the men they had by helping them advance onto their enemies lines.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Germany was suffering heavy casualties as the allies were, but unlike the allies they did not have the man-power to continue taking these losses and so they looked to maximize on their men. Where as the allies looked for strategic changes such as developing the tank and poison gas. </div>]]></description>
