Harry goes to open his letter but after being ratted on by his cousin Dudley is forced not to read it until its hand delivered by his new schools giant groundskeeper Hagrid. Hagrid also informs Harry that he infact is a wizard! Harry soon realizes he is famous in the wizarding world and is treeated as such at first overwhelming the boy. When he arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry he is immediately sorted into Gryffindor one of the 4 houses at hogwarts. After finding new friends at hogwarts he gets into trouble, joins the Quidditch team, takes down a mountain troll, and by the end of the book fnds out the wizard who killed his parents Voldemort is still alive living as a parasite on the back one of his teachers heads who are trying to steal the sorcerers stone which makes you immortal. The writing in this book is wonderful. I would recommend this book to anyone look for an intense or casual read.
