He was suffering from Huntington's disease and decided to take a pill to put himself into a coma. His mother saw and instead of calling for help she took a pillow and suffocated him. She was charged for murder but those charges got dropped to aiding and abetting suicide. Mercy killing should never be doe by the parents, if a person is suffering from any sort of disease then they should be allowed to decide when they want to leave. Even though she was found not guilty I think it's very unfair to put parents through that. This took place in Belgium, where assisted suicide is available. The twins were allowed to be injected by a doctor and no one was charged.
