Hi everyone,

I'm Laurel and I'm very lucky to work as a curriculum consultant with the Indigenous Education team. I'm originally from Unama'kik, Cape Breton, the traditional territory of the Mi'kmaq nation. My ancestry is Scottish/Gaelic, Acadian, and French from St. Pierre de Miquelon. I learned a lot during last year's journey and I'm excited to grow more in my understanding of how to work with students in classrooms to respond to the 94 Calls to Action in ways that are meaningful and transferrable. Hello! My name is Kristy and I’m Métis from Drummond island, Penetang. My ancestry is Cree and French. I wasn’t raised knowing I was Métis because my Grandmother was ashamed and afraid. However her brothers were proud, and I’m learning more about our family now that she’s passed.

I teach French etc to grade 4 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton. I love it!
