Before I leave the parking lot of my school, I am checking Facebook. I received my Paralegal Degree in 2003, but only practiced for one year in the field. Last year, I feel like I was thrown in the deep end of virtual school and often told to just figure it out. Every year, there is a new website or a new technology that is introduced surface level, but I never have an opportunity for a deeper understanding or mastery of working in the digital content. It was terrifying and liberating! It was my first time being on an airplane since 1994. Taking a solo vacation helped to increase my self confidence and it allowed me discover a part of myself that I hid away for years. I am hoping to tour the UK and Spain by 2023.
