Instead of assigning times, could you allow people to sign up for a time.  I know you would need them to RSVP so that you can plan the break out sessions but then people could determine which of the times were best for them.

I appreciate people trying to be upbeat (at the same time it gets annoying, but that's just me being grumpy) but after my full time job, and then my coteacher calls, and then my feedback/announcements for my sections, and then trying to spend time with my family and actually eat dinner....it just wears me out. Would love to see these meetings cut down to 30 mins tops. I think if we cut some fluff this could be accomplished.  Or maybe meetings could be pre-recorded and then ideas shared on a common spreadsheet or something? We could provide feedback/questions/answers and be given a week to do so. 

Or a raise/incentive would make this easier to put up with

This is evidenced by the difference in citations as seen on the slides tonight. There are some areas where it is "gray" and we need to remember that there is not always a black and white answer. We may be going a wee-bit overboard in asking our teachers to attach a TASL citation to a created web 2.0 tool. 

Although I appreciate the effort to get us to collaborate in small groups, I think the department meeting breakouts take too long, are too busy, and cause meeting to go way too long. Most teachers are just zapped by 8:00 at night and still have much to do.

Although I greatly appreciate the acknowledgement of the image citation issues within the presentation tonight, it definitely set a negative tone for the meeting. A do as I say, not as I do. Also, the information presented in this meeting is not how I’ve been coached by my subject ILs. I thought I had a good understanding of copyright, and now I’m just confused. I do not believe a TASL citation is required for every image. If an image is in the public domain, no attribution is required at all. To say “Image from pixabay.com, CC0 Public Domain” is enough. Why are we asking for TASL here? If a teacher creates their own image, that image belongs to them. They need to give credit to the website they used to create, but again, a full TASL citation is not needed. This meeting left me feeling confused and discouraged. It was not helpful.

It's frustrating the citations on the presentation didn't seem to be as elaborate as what we are being asked to do. The time of night is hard with children. Maybe offer an earlier and later one and allow us to choose which to attend then see if the numbers balance out. 
I found the breakout room difficult this time. My computer was being slow so by the time I was able to access the google doc with my group time was up.
