         <title>Handwriting </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>I wonder if or how much students' handwriting will be affected by incorporating more technology in my first grade classroom, especially during ELA and word work time.<br></strong><br><em>I have made a concerted effort to continue to make sure to practice traditional handwriting daily.&nbsp; The students still must use a pencil and paper to write, but then are able to take a picture and read aloud and record what they wrote so they can include it in their e-Portfolios.&nbsp; I think it is imperative for teachers to plan properly on how to incorporate technology so as to enhance their academic programs, not detract from them.</em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>I wonder how many of my first grade students will be able to collaborate effectively while using their new Chromebooks.<br></strong><br><em>Observing my students engage and collaborate while using their Chromebooks has been thrilling to watch.&nbsp; We have been using them daily since the start of the school year and the majority of them are still very enthusiastic, especially when I have them work collaboratively.</em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>I wonder if student learning and engagement is increased by using an interactive whiteboard daily for calendar and number of the day time<br></strong><br><em>Through my research it appears that in many cases the use of incorporating technology into the classroom has a positive effect on engagement and therefore may increase learning as well.</em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>I wonder if having 1-to-1 devices starting in JK/TK will impact student achievement on test scores.<br></strong><br><em>According to the current research, there have not been very many published studies focusing on device usage with preschoolers observing the affects over time.&nbsp; This is a relatively new topic.&nbsp; It will be interesting to see what the impact of incorporating devices into early childhood programs may be. &nbsp;</em></div>]]></description>

I am observing more and more of my colleagues going this route as well.&nbsp;</em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>I wonder if in time what the impact of DE will have on the teaching profession, replacing classrooms as we know them today.&nbsp; Will the effects shift down to the primary grades as well where a big portion of the foundational learning takes place with the 3 Rs?<br></strong><br><em>This is definitely a question to continue to reflect upon.&nbsp; I am not sure it can be answered as of yet since it is a relatively new concept in the public school realm, let alone the elementary academic level.&nbsp; I will continue to remain curious and observe the evolution of it.&nbsp;</em></div>]]></description>
