Silva, Pauline R.
BSE-SCIENCE B2021

My educational philosophy is that all children will have the ability to learn. They do not learn at the same rate, but they do so using different ways and strategies possible. Students should not be regarded as ignorant individuals waiting to be taught, but as someone having a pool of knowledge waiting to be developed. Learning is a two fold process -- with the teacher instilling a wealth of knowledge to students and students acting as partners and receivers. Students can also learn from each other through exchange of information/knowledge. Students may require advice in addition to lectures, and teachers can help with it through various of ways.

First, practical skills; the teacher must also share tips and tricks on everyday life by teaching her students how to be street smart.
Second, communication skills. Effective communication is needed to solve some challenges with others student such as those involve in a team environment or collaboration.

Finally, empathy. Empathy is an important social skill that students must be able to pick up in school because this will allow them to feel for their classmates. With empathy, students will have more harmonious relationship with each other because they can relate to the feelings of each other.

As a Educator, I choice Extentialism, WHAT DOES EXTENTIALISM FOCUS ON?existentialist teacher is not the center of the instruction but rather a facilitator. The goal is to help students better understand who they are as individuals. WHY EXTENTIALISM IS IMPORTANT ?Existentialists believe that every individual is unique and education must cater to the individual differences. Therefore, the objective of education is to enable every individual to develop his unique qualities, to harness his potentialities and cultivate his individualities. HOW CAN APPLY EXTENTIALISM IN TEACHING? An existentialist classroom typically involves the teachers and school laying out what they feel is important and allowing the students to choose what they study. All students work on different, self-selected assignments at their own pace.

REFLECTION PAPER
In the education perspective, existentialist believes that the majority philosophies of the past have asked out people to think deeply about thoughts and abstractions that had little or no relationship to existence. Scholastic philosophy, during which thinkers debated such questions as how many angels could sit on ahead of a pin. The answers to such metaphysical question provided nothing except perhaps some psychological satisfaction at winning a debate through argumentation.

Existentialists believe that in their philosophy, the individual is drawn in as a participant, ready to be filled with knowledge supported ideas. The existentialist pose that a person is usually in transition, in order that the instant people believe they know themselves is perhaps the instant to start the examination everywhere again. They also believe that honest education emphasizes individuality. It attempts to help each people is seeing ourselves with our fears, frustrations, and hope.

For educators, existentialist want to change in attitude about education, rather than seeing it as something a learner is stuffed with, measures against or fitted into, they suggest that learners first be looked as individuals and that they are allowed to require a positive role within the shaping of their education and life. For the existentialist, no two children are alike. They differ in background, personality traits, interests, and desires they need to be acquired. Also, they wanted to determine an end to the manipulation of the learners with teachers controlling learners along the predetermined behavioural path.

Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. I would be an existentialism kind of teacher. I will encourage my students to be subjective and original in thinking. As I future teacher. I am really inspired to be a teacher because of the people who shown me the value of educating people and also learning is fun. It's way of discovering. For me, I would be a pragmatist teacher who make sure my students are learned well. I'll get questioned myself. I'll make sure that it's useful for my students, motivated, do make sure their experience about my teaching and most of all, if it's relevant for them in other subject areas. Pragmatism, a proposition is true and it works satisfactorily. Education is not an affair of telling and being told but an active and constructive process. As a teacher, I'll priority my students. The pragmatic teacher is focused heavily on having students impact the world. This means that an emphasis on social action is a part of the pragmatist classroom. In some classroom social change and attaining social goals (ie social justice warrior) is the entire purpose of education. Pragmatic language skills are very important to allow clear communication of feelings, thoughts and ideas. Those philosophies could help the future generation reach their dreams and use their abilities to achieve it.
