Here is all the things I learned and got do:

• I got to give complementary manicures

• I got see the vici shower

• I got to help keep the spa running smoothly by (helping with laundry, cleaning sandals and keeping everything organized)

• I got to sit in on a consultation for a tattoo removal

• I got to watch electrolysis being done on a client

• I also got to learn and observe how a spa runs

Overall, I had a great time over my placement week and I am super happy that I got to do a placement at Beauty Works!

Transparency and accountability are also essential for RMTs. This is maintained through an online registry that lists all currently registered RMTs across Ontario. Spa therapists can benefit from working with an RMT in a spa setting, as RMTs are highly knowledgeable in their field. Throughout their careers, they undergo continuous testing to stay up to date with current practices. This is beneficial for spa therapists, as they can turn to an RMT for advice or assistance when needed.
