You can't generalize your findings to the same degree that quantitative data can. You also can't involve as many participants due to the amount of individual effort involved.

Qualitative data can create a built in set of parameters that removes the possibility of some misinterpretations of data. Does not eliminate all possibilities.

With qualitative research, you are able to explore more about an individual's perspective and experience as it relates to the research question. This allows for a better perspective about the setting, interactions, and cultural factors that might be influencing the person's experience.
