I feel like the assignments this year are a bit too difficult. More specifically, I think it would help us a lot if we were allowed dictionaries for the translation, as it was allowed in the previous years. French is a third language for many people, so sometimes it is really hard to find a correct synonym in French when translating from English.

Brigite is doing a brilliant job as always, preparing us for the spoken exam by giving us tips and explaining everything really well! It is greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend that the spoken classes provide the students with documents provided to students in class online as well, as if you miss a class, you're out of the loop completely on what has happened in class. Maybe even that the composition section of the module has some kind of guide with comments on how to structure and what is recommended to be used in the essay. Kind of like what Brigitte gave out for the presentation part.

The small speaking groups. With there being only a few people, everyone has the opportunity to speak a lot.

The assessments this year seem overly ambitious and complicated at this level, especially in comparison to the Spanish assessments.

Yeah the difference in expectations between french and Spanish modules is hard for us, for people who do a double degree. There seems to be a lot more pressure to complete all the work for french compared to Spanish i.e. the translation - the fact that we are not allowed any resources and that it is English to French 600 words is difficult when Spanish was 250 words Spanish to English with 1 week to complete. It is overwhelming sometimes trying to keep up with the french work/assignments as well as our other modules.

I didn’t enjoy using the inspera system, I think there could have been other more easily accessible platforms to do assessments on.
