"In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." This quote is interesting and impactful because it reveals Anne's enduring hope despite the hardships and dangers she faces while hiding. It highlights her deep belief in the inherent goodness of people, even in times of darkness and cruelty. For me, it serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of maintaining hope and faith in humanity, even when circumstances seem bleak.

"In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." I find this quote impactful because it shows that even in the worst of situations and the fact that her family might be killed she still wanted to believe in the best of people. I really like this quote because even when life is at its lowest Anne shows that it's always good to hold out hope and see the good in everything.

"Anne. We’re young, Margot and Peter, and I! You grown-ups have had your chance! But look at us . . . If we begin thinking

of all the horror in the world, we’re lost! We’re trying to hold onto some kind of ideals... when everything... ideals, hopes... everything, are being destroyed! It isn’t our fault that the world is in such a mess! We weren’t around when all this started! So don’t try to take it out on us!" I find this interesting because it makes me think of today's society. All the conflicts that have been going on since before I was born. My parents have always told me about the world from when they were young, but today's world is so different. The world is probably in worse conditions today.

And you come in the night

and steal food that should go to them . . . to the children!"- Mrs. Frank.

It is impactful because the Franks and Van Daans had been living for so long and Mrs. Frank had endured her children going hungry, so she snapped when she found out that Mr. Van Daan had been taking the food that was meant for the children. This proves to me that even someone so hopeful for their future can turn suddenly turn bitter when faced with reality.

The quote "Mr. Frank: She puts me to shame" is interesting to me because it shows us how Mr. Frank recognizes that Anne always tried to be positive in bad situations. He admires her hope and strength to keep it together and always looked forward to positive outcomes. It helps us understand how Anne coped with the idea of living with the risk of danger. Mr. Frank acknowledges that Anne always believed that everyone had good in themselves, which allows him to reflect on what he always believed.

Anne’s quote, “I keep my ideals, because despite everything, I still believe that people are good at heart,” is very effective for many reasons. First, it reflects hope in harsh times, showing the hope she had in humanity even during the darkest times of the Holocaust. Second, it resonates with those who may doubt humanity, serving as a comforting reminder to maintain faith in others. It also encourages kindness and understanding, suggesting that believing in people’s goodness can inspire positive actions and change in the world.

Anne Frank states, “I’m trying. Really I am. Every night I think back over all of the things I did that day that were wrong . . . like putting the wet mop in Mr. Dussel’s bed . . . and this thing now with Mother. I say to myself, that was wrong. . . I have a nicer side, Father . . . a sweeter, nicer side. But I’m scared to show it. I’m afraid that people are going to laugh at me if I’m serious. So the mean Anne comes to the outside and the good Anne stays on the inside, and I keep on trying to switch them around and have the good Anne outside and the bad Anne inside . . ." I find this quote impacting because I admire how Anne is being realistic, and relatable, I can identify with what she was going through in her emotions in this quote. The way Anne is expressing herself is genuine, she's aware of herself, and she notices the wrong actions she’s taken. Unlike the other guests Anne wants to be a better person.

This quote also allows the reader to imagine how bad the concentration camps and the hiding places were for a lot of people.

She wants to be treated equally to others, and thinks that if she shows her kinder side, people will think less of her and treat her as even more of a child.

"In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." - Anne Frank. This quote is impactful because even though the world is going through a hard time with the war and all the evil that comes with. Anne still believes that people are good deep down. Also after everything that she went through she still keeps a positive mindset.

"The most wonderful thing is to believe in yourself when no one else does." - Anne Frank. I find this quote interesting because I believe that many struggle with this, and because I believe it to be true.

Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.

This quote is meaningful because Anne was living in hiding, cut off from the world, yet she still found reasons to smile and appreciate life. It shows how strong and positive she was, even during a very hard time. It reminds us to be thankful for the small good things in our own lives, no matter what we’re going through.
