         <description><![CDATA[<p>My adverts strengths are the image mainly as it has the most impact also the way the text has linked to the text in the picture. Areas to improve are the actual the skills and techniques used in Photoshop to change and improve the image, some areas due to my lack of knowledge and experience may seem amateur therefore to get a professional outcome I would have to practice.  The cigarette next to the "KILLS" writing is signified as we understand it to mean "Smoking KILLS". I think the message of the advert is communicated well and really has an impact when looking at it although it can be improved to demonstrate the message more effectively. I thinking taking the picture in an outside , realistic location so it makes the advert have a greater reference to real life therefore making it personal as most smoking areas do resemble what i have pictured although at the same time the burnt effect that i have used really adds a darker undertone to the advert almost pushing the message that cigarettes burn the world around you. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I asked a focus group of people for input on the strengths and weaknesses of my calligram. My calligrams message was water safety and I  was told that the meaning of the advert was clearly understood as well as the logo being fitting for the content of the advertisement, as well the sizing of both the shark in the centre of the advert and the logo being well sized. Other pros were that the simplistic background worked terrifically with the message creating this true feeling of the ocean. Improvements given were that any mistakes in grammar needed to be corrected so that the advert looks legitimate and professional another piece of criticism  given was over what the text said as it could be changed to sound more impacting and therefore have a bigger affect on the audience.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Today I have completed one advert for my advertisement campaign. The advert is of a lemur behind bars of red text simulating an enclosure/prison I have produced this by  using photoshop and adding callirgam effects.  I could improve the advert by enlarging some of the words that make up the jail bars this will highlight what I want the advert to mean to the audience.  I learnt photoshop editing skills. I need to produce the two other adverts by next wednesday. </p>]]></description>

</p><p><b>Coke advert 2000s
Print advertising</b></p>
<p>The print uses visual
language to communicate sharing through a bottle being exchanged
between two hands , this image has no written language so the images
message has to be strong and well understood. Where as in TV
advertisements there will usually dialogue of some sort in the form
of a slogan as well as people handing a bottle of coke to each other
which is an easily understood message.  Print advertisements need to
exploit the use of bright colours and bold eye catching figures in
order to attract the viewer and communicate the message , written
language is usually used on many prints as it makes the picture
better understood as well as putting valuable information in that may
not be explainable through use of visuals alone however text cant be
used in larger amounts as there is only a select amount of space for
the advert.  The hands coming together promotes an emotional kind of
union which can be related to how coke wants to make us feel towards
the product.

<p><b>Coke radio advert
(number 5) </b>
</p>
<p>The radio advert uses
sound to make its message because it has no other way . So sounds
like opening up a can and drinking noises are used to make the
audience of the advert thirsty they then think of coke and go to buy
the drink as they want the refreshing taste of coke. Although the
advert doesn't have any acknowledgement to the product its self 
therefore if heard it the audience might not understand what drink
brand it was for. Where as both of the other formats have other ways
of putting across their message as visual communicate is usually
easier.</p>
<p><b>Coke TV
advertisement (number 6) </b>
</p>
<p>The advert uses a
storyline of a 100 year old man travelling across the world to see a
relatives new born baby that advert has been created to celebrate the
brands 100 year anniversary, it creates an emotion connection between
the product and miracles such as child birth this is linked to the
idea that coke its self is a miracle just like birth. Although the
advert also express an urge to combine good health like the man who
has survived to 100 years of age with drinking coke,  towards the end
of the video  it shows everyone in the village playing games together
with the bottle caps and celebrating  and drinking the product which
subconsciously and subliminally  makes our brains associate a good
time/celebration with the brand. This means that when thinking of a
drink to buy we immediately remember that coke makes people happy and
have a good time so we buy the product. Advert also promotes a
preferred audience response by not offending the anyone and also by
making the caste of the advert multi ethnic showing that the brand
spreads joy cross nationally. At the end it thanks the audience for
100 years of happiness making us feel emotionally connected to the
product as it adds a personal the feeling, doing this directly
addressing the audience. This advert uses visual and spoken language
to communicate the message. 
</p>
<p>Overall I believe the
most persuasive advert is the print format as it puts the point
across simply, its eye catching and unlike the TV advertisement it is
quick and therefore there is no chance of losing  interest. It uses
semiotics of giving and the symbolism of union to create a thought
provoking message form the brand therefore  allowing us to  process
the thoughts and opinions we may have which keeps us thinking about
it and may cause us to talk about it to another in conversation which
therefore spreads the advertisement. Although TV advertisements are
see more regularly the actual layout and length of the advert is
wrong which causes us to lose and interest and not fully get the
point of the advert  this has similarities to the miss communication
posed by the radio advertisement where there is also a risk that the
audience may not understand or infer the message in the way the
creators intended.
