Your Mission:

Every great invention starts by solving a problem. Your team's mission is to pick a common problem and use an AI to invent a futuristic product or app that solves it.

Step 1: Find a Problem (5 minutes)

• Work together to brainstorm a list of small, annoying problems you face in daily life.

• Choose one problem from your list. It can be simple!

• Examples:

  • "I always lose my keys."

  • "I can never decide what to watch on Netflix."

  • "My houseplants always die because I forget to water them."

• Write your chosen problem down in one sentence.

Step 2: Ask the AI for a Solution (10 minutes)

• Tool: Use a free text-based AI like Google Gemini or ChatGPT.

• Your Task: Copy and paste the "Magic Prompt" below into the AI. Just replace the text in the brackets [ ] with the problem you chose in Step 1.

  The Magic Prompt:

  "We have a problem: [INSERT YOUR PROBLEM HERE]. Act as a creative inventor and suggest a new product or app that uses AI to solve this. Give it a catchy name and explain in one sentence what it does."

• Read the AI's answer. If you like it, you're ready! If not, you can try asking the AI one more time by sending the same prompt again to get a different idea.

• Choose the best idea the AI gives you.

Step 3: Share Your Idea (5 minutes)

• Each team will take a turn to share their invention with the class.

• You only need to share three things:

  1. The Problem you chose.

  2. The Name of your AI product/app.

  3. What it does in one sentence.

Example of what to share:

"Our problem was that our houseplants always die. The AI came up with an app called 'Terra'. It's an AI-powered plant sensor that automatically waters your plants when they're thirsty and tells you if they need more sunlight."

Quick Discussion Questions:

• Was the AI's idea surprising or creative?

• Would you actually use the product your team invented?

• What was the most fun part of this activity?
