         <description><![CDATA[<div>Compassion fatigue is often seen as 'burnout" which consist of burn out and secondary traumatic stress. The National Academy of Medicine reports that 50% of caretakers report serious symptoms of burnout. Noticing the symptoms of burnout is the first way to prevent it. Although burnout can have a number of manifestations the majority will feel fatigue, dreading going to work, feeling underappreciated, and feeling constantly overworked. To combat these overwhelming symptoms is to practice self-care, and mindfulness, which is seen as the best way prevent burnout. Other preventions may include developing strong interpersonal relationships within the workplace and home, setting boundaries between work and personal life, getting enough sleep (like that'll happen), caring for your mental and physical health, and seeking out therapy or assistant's when needed.</div>]]></description>
