In 2007, he punched a custom officer after he was denied access to the US due to past criminal convictions. He was subsequently jailed for 2yrs and released.

His doctor claimed he had good insight and should not stop medications . However he stopped taking his medications in 2014 and said he is no longer mentally ill.
