It seems to me that Amelia Earhart's views of science are to say that she wants more women in aviation. There are now more jobs for women in aviation.
"Science has released them from much of the age-old drudgery connected with the process of living. Candle dipping, weaving and crude methods of manufacturing necessities are things of the past for an increasing majority."

I believe that Amelia Earhart thinks that science is important for society because there is now more jobs for women in aviation.
