Because coursebook materials are studio recorded and there are not so much noises in them. So they are easy to understand. Also, there are target oriented, without slang words and time-saving. But authentic materials or other sources grab students attentions easily. This is may be a song of the band they like, or may be their favourite tv series part or sports player's interview. Students sometimes find boring the listening texts in the coursebooks. So many times students hesitate to speak in target language even if they know the vocabularies or structures. This is because of the lack of self confidence so many times. They're also afraid of making mistakes and their peer's reactions.
I think the idea of the activity called " reading circle" is very helpful for the problem of not engaging to the speaking activities equally. Because everyone has a role to speak. Peer checking and discuss as a group kind of activities are also very useful in speaking activities for their self confidence. By this type of speaking activities and instructions everybody will try to speak and will be active. Finally, I will definitely try the onion rings and high five activity in my speaking classes.

This a form of onion ring activity that I like before. But this is more comfortable for the classroom enviroment. At first I want to talk about this. I appreciate that you taught this to us. My colleauges will probably think this is useful for reading activities. Students find reading activities so many times boring.
"so more you speak they understand less" is today's motto for me. I am going to share this with my colleauges about giving reading or any task's intructions. I'll also say them the teaching is about twenty percent teacher centered and eighty percent teacher centered. 
To end up, to know pre-reading / while reading and post reading activities as categorized works all of us. And group work we use as a warm up is very useful to engage students in and to save time in writing tasks. Students do a writing task with collaboration so they share the responsibilities of their outcome.
I think my colleauges are most interested in writing 3 three facts about favourite animal. ( share one picture of it and the facts on padlet then everybody makes comments). Working on together and experience the writing on the Padlet is a very funny way of doing a writing task. Furthermore, I definitely think that my students love it. But I think the idea od  fluency comes first  should be priotarized. Because most of the teachers try to make students accurate. They don't put much effort to make them fluent. However, as you said as an  example if the river flows you will direct them but if not you cannot do anything with it.
When it comes to teach vocabularies, I really like the method you demonstrate us at first. Sometimes I kind of use this but not some of the points. Today I learned how to practice it  totally. It includes eliciting,mmatching, modelling, drilling and practicing. It works especially for the primary and secondary school students and I'm one of the lucky ones because I've been working at middle school. And I'm so lucky to have you and be part of this useful project! May be it is not related to the subject but in my local district people have nearly no chance to improve themselves and schools so many times don't allow teachers to do this. Students' lackness of motivation is also another reason for this. But the biggest reason underlying this subject is the assessment system that we use,according to me.
I think self and peer assessment can solve the problems to some extent. Because they're  time saving for teachers. We have so many document works and usually busy even out of the school. So it is relaxing to make one of them easy. Students have fun with these and self and peer assessment  increase their motivation. As their motivation increases, our motivation increases as well. Actually as a teacher and learner , I really have fun with formative assessment tools.
