Most people involved in doing the cyberbullying say they thought it was funny and harmless. This is something I think most kids have an issue with because they are still learning about reality and actualization and they don't understand what problems such as social anxiety and depression that the victims build up over time because of this issue.

Putting a stop to the bullying, what can be done?

From cyberbullying.org they say that 30.7 percent of kids involved in cyberbullying either blocked or deleted the person and the issue went away. The next highest rate was at 18.9 percent when the child involved would tell a parent about the issue. It seems from this data that ignoring the bully and not allowing them to have access to you may be the best way to get this problem to stop.

Cyberbullying is going to be hard to get rid of over all because now living in the 21st century where social media and phones are a big part of our living there is always doing to be the opportunity for this to be an issue. If you have kids or know someone who has kids talk to them and be open with them about what goes on at school and if they or a friend are having an issue advise them to get an adult involved. There are ways to avoid feeding into this issue and giving these bully's the satisfaction of hurting our kids, delete and ignore them and if your child does go through this be aware of anxiety and depression that can start as a result of the bullying.
