  • Mind maps: Use color and pictures in place of text, wherever possible. 
  • The visual journey or story technique helps you memorize content that isn't easy to 'see.' The visual story approach for memorizing procedures is a good example of this.

There was an individual lets call her Lauren (since she loves notebooks). She would have 12 packs of different color pens to associate what each color would represent in her journal. Red: Month, Blue: Chores, Green: Bills Etc. Instead of writing Chores, Bills, etc. In each square on the calendar, she would just draw a mop in blue, a dollar bill in green, and bag a chips in orange for groceries.
