Hyperinflation was rampant in Germany. Hyperinflation causes disastrous effects on the economy. Most citizens would not even be able to buy food or essentials due to the rapidly rising prices. It results in even the mere act of going to work costing more than one makes. The economy cannot sustain itself without a stable currency. This is because as companies see the rising cost of their operation they begin to lay off workers, which in turn makes them spend less to save, then companies earn less money and it results in a loop. To stop the loop the government prints more money however that just devalues the currency adding to the issue.
