I can infer that both octopus has fondness for each other because in the first part of the video they were hugging. Then the pink octopus gets captured so the orange octopus goes to get the pink octopus back.

I think the octopi love each other because they were hugging in the first scene and if they didn't love each other why did the boy octopus try to save the girl octopus and at the last scene why is the girl octopus trying to save the boy octopus from the unknown seagull that randomly comes in and swoops down and grabs the boy octopus and now the girl is trying to save him.
