Proteins can provide energy to your body. Protein has four calories per gram, which is the same quantity of energy as carbohydrates. At nine calories per gram, fats provide the most energy. In the picture the extension wire is presented and represents the protein.

Carbohydrates are essential at all stages of life. They are the body's primary source of energy as well as the brain's preferred source of energy. As you can see, the picture is a sun which represents the carbohydrates. One of the most important sources of energy is the sun. The energy of the sun is the original source of most of the energy found on earth. It emits light and heat, or solar energy, which allows life to exist on Earth. Sunlight is required for plant growth. Plants are required by animals, including humans, for food and the oxygen they create. Earth would freeze if the sun did not provide heat.

Aside from carbohydrates as a main source of energy. It is also an energy storage for the reason that dietary carbohydrates provide glucose that body cells can use for energy. Excess glucose beyond what the body needs for immediate energy is converted into glycogen, a storage form of carbohydrate, or converted into fat and stored in body fat cells. The picture is a battery which represents as a carbohydrates that stores an energy. Just like carbohydrates, battery can rapidly store energy or feed in energy, even in milliseconds, in order to balance a grid area so as to avoid frequency instability.

Lipids are the body's major long-term energy storage molecules, like a USB drive. They are an excellent technique to store extra energy because they are small and low weight. Lipids are insoluble, making them more challenging to transfer; yet, because they are insoluble, they do not affect osmosis, preventing difficulties within the body's cells. They also provide more energy per gram than carbs, making lipids lighter storage of energy than a store of carbohydrates.

Aside from long-term energy storage, lipids are the building blocks of numerous hormones and a necessary component of all cellular membranes. Lipids are used to manufacture hormones such as estrogen, testosterone, and cortisol. These are required to manage your immune system and metabolism and play a function in developing sexual traits.
