I believe the Translanguaging session was one of the best of the day, as it provided us with valuable tools to guide teachers in using L1 more meaningfully in class—showing that its use should be strategic and have a clear pedagogical purpose. At the same time, I would be mindful of which teachers I share this content with, since some still rely heavily on Portuguese in class. I feel this topic needs to be introduced carefully so it can support rather than unintentionally “backfire.”

Tenho gostado muito de ver a empolgação dos professores e coordenadores/diretores das escolas, nos faz perceber como eles se sentem especiais em serem escolhidos para fazer parte de um projeto novo da IS, pois o fato de ser IS é sinônimo de qualidade, portanto, especial. Achei que renovou o relacionamento com os tomadores de decisão, e é importante mostrar esse efeito. - Tairini

This session helped me understand how to examine authentic classroom scenarios where the integration of language and content either faces obstacles or achieves positive results. Moving forward, I plan to support teachers in identifying the underlying factors that led to those outcomes, encouraging them to adapt their instructional approaches, and transforming potential difficulties into meaningful opportunities for student growth.
