Why did kodka get into financial difficulties?

- their company wasn't able to develop fast enough as the photography industry continues to grow. As the popularization of digital cameras keep increasing, KODAK was unable to adapt to this fast change and stayed with photographic films, where it was no longer wanted. Because of this, there was less demand for photographic films, causing the business to not earn any revenue and shut down instead.

How does KODAK's customer relationships help in avoiding business failure?

- even if a majority of the population consider photographic films as "old" or "no longer trending", there are still some people who enjoy having hobbies that involve the usage of old cameras and films. Because of this, KODAK was able to maintain its customer relationships, and form bonds with the customers from selling these old films. As the business continues to fail, the customers will still stay loyal to the brand due to its authenticity and rareness, and continue purchasing goods from the same company.

1.:Although Kodak was a key figure and innovator in the realm of photography, the company’s hesitance to completely transition over to a digital platform in the early 2000s caused great loss to the company. Even after the world’s first digital camera was made in-house by Kodak way back in the 1970s, the company still was focused on film and other classic forms of photography, disregarding the development of digital photography and the future that came with it.

2.If Kodak had built stronger and more proactive connections with its customers—by actively seeking consumer feedback or developing closer relationships with professional photographers, businesses, and retail partners—it could have gained a better understanding of the changing consumer preferences towards digital photography. This enhanced understanding might have encouraged Kodak to innovate more quickly and invest in digital technology sooner.

1) Why did Kodak fall into financial trouble?

Kodak's financial distress resulted from an inability to keep pace with the rapidly changing technological era. While Kodak was at the forefront in the business of photographic film, the company failed to predict or realize significant profits from the digital camera revolution. Along came digital photography as the future, and more were using digital cameras than film cameras because of their ease of use and added features, including video. Kodak was one of the first companies to develop a digital camera but did not invest aggressively in the new technology for fear that it would cannibalize the core business of film. Consequently, Sony, Canon, and Samsung were among the companies that took advantage of this switch to digital technology while Kodak's core business-photographic film-witnessed catastrophic declines in sales. Thus, the inability of the company to innovate and transition into the digital age led to a cash crisis for Kodak and its eventual bankruptcy filing in 2012.

2) How maintaining good customer relationships might have helped Kodak avoid business failure?

The quality of the customer relationships might have helped Kodak's case on a number of fronts, including:

- Appreciating the Change in Consumer Preference: Had Kodak remained close to its customers, then it would have been in a better position to understand the changing consumer preference for digital photography. Customer feedback might have motivated Kodak to change its orientation toward digital technology much sooner so that it could compete with the growing digital camera firms.

- Building Loyalty: Strong customer relations can engender brand loyalty. If Kodak had been concerned with customers' satisfaction by offering innovative digital products, it could have retained its customer base during the transition into digital technology, even though the products for which it was best known in film became obsolete.

- Solution Provider: This could have been where Kodak positions itself not as a film company, but as a solutions provider in photography: both film and digital products, photo editing software, even platforms to share digital images. Service integration and agility in listening to customers' needs would have prepared it better for the market shift.

Answers :

Kodak's main business was selling photographic film, which used in traditional cameras., but since we live in a world where technology is advancing at such a rapid pace, change happens even more quickly. Kodak wasn't able to adapt to this new technology and wasn't able to beat other competitiors, so they lost tons of customers and didn't invest in digital cameras early enough. As a result, they lost a lot of customers and their business suffered greatly.

Kodak could have avoided financial problems by focusing on customer relationships. They could have learned about what customers wanted and changed their products to match those needs. This would have helped them stay stable in the market and build a loyal customer base, even when times were tough. In conclusion, maintaining good relationship with customer not only could help you avoid of bankruptcy but also could have helped you to make more profit with customers feedback .

1) Kodak failed to adapt to the evolving market, causing people to loose intrest in their once successfull product. The company too focused on maintaining their current business that they started overlooking technological oppotunities. It tried staying in the film photography industry instead of shifting to the far superior digital photography. They foccused on how they could maintain they success instead of finding ways to fulfill their consumers needs. Because of this they lost their croud and gained the backlash of their decisions. Once they had realized their grave mistake, it was too late. Companies such as Sony and canon as over run the industry. And thus Kodak was forced to self eliminate their once thriving business by filling for bankruptcy in the year of 2012.

2)KODAK would have still been triving today if it were not for their poor choices in maintaining their popularity as a reliable source of photography. They failed to retain their consumers attention and due to that buyers left and bad recognition came. Kodak ignored what the audience needed which is a change and now they are unable to change ther fate back to the success.

1.there are several reasons why Kodak went into financial crisis. Like poor management, declining sales, high debt levels or market competition.but the main reason they went bankrupt is because they did not keep up with the trend fast enough. They technologies used by their competitors are rapidly growing fast while they kept using the same technology. Customers prefer technologically enhanced products therefore they would buy from other companies instead.

2.

Building a Brand Reputation, A company with a great customer relationship can greatly influence the companies reputation, which can be crucial in attracting new customers.
