VietPride Event

ICS's flagship event is VietPride: ICS has been organizing and coordinating the largest annual event for the LGBTI+ community in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting over 3000 participants, including LGBTI+ individuals and allies. Held annually in August-October, VietPride aims to create a safe space for LGBTI+ people to be themselves and be visible. VietPride is the most anticipated event by the public and brings the community's vision to the wider society."

I think Pamflet's position as a youth-led organization that is not focused only on one issue creates potentials for intersectionality. We are already working towards it and practicing it, but of course, we always need to learn to be more inclusive and intersectional!

From PVI.

Most proud of: PVI and EBPP (also an EMpower grantee) partnered on a multi-year program in Ban Village, Bali, where our participants focused on CEFMU (child, early, and forced marriage and unions), among others. Already five customary villages in Ban have passed customary laws to prevent CEFMU since 2022 (the program ended 2023).

What area can be improved: Like Pamflet, I think yes, we need to learn to be more inclusive and intersectional as well :). Values have to be aligned.
