Phrasal verbs help us to understand the correct order of certain phrases and are related to idioms because these phrases shouldn't be taken literally, they are a kind of metaphor. They help us to improve our communication skills because knowing them allows us to better understand what a native English speaker is saying when we talk to him and he uses these phrases.

Phrasal verbs are, to me, the most complicated of the lot. Collocations are intuitive, and idioms are just a matter of social adaptation to the environment.
What are they useful for? To be creative with words and compose texts that suit one's personality. That is what I appreciate as a fairly good benefit: versatility. Otherwise, they're mere components of human language. A more interesting topic might be: are there human languages without any of those 3 mentioned components?

1) "Idiom" is very interesting and can be funny, they are hyperbole phrases that exaggerate a fact that is happening. It is incredible that so many phrases can exist, it would be good to learn some of them to use them.

2) "Collocation" you have to be careful how you use these phrases because it is easy to make a mistake and say something wrong that does not make sense or is grammatically incorrect.

3) "Phrasal verb" it is important to know the prepositions or adverbs that accompany the verb to say something correctly, it is a great job for a second language learner.

These three elements can help communication because they are phrases that are often used informally so people sound more native speaking to each other. Especially if they are people using their second language. Also, when people understand how to use these elements, it makes it easier for them to communicate, they lose their fear of expressing themselves, they sound more confident and they understand better what other people are saying when they speak.

1) Collocations are verbs that are and must correctly fit with one word in order to understand its meaning (e.g. "GRAB the gem", not "SHINE the gem")
2) Idioms cannot be understood from the meaning of its separate words, but from the expression as a whole. They are all forms of figurative languages (words that not have a literal meaning). I can agree with one classmate that this is a very hilarious way to express ourselves, but, at the same time, is more easy.
3) Phrasal verbs are formed by: verb + preposition / adverb. Their position can vary depending if we put and object word or a pronoun. Some of them have literal meanings, but some, in a similar fashion to idioms, have figurative meanings that we have to deduce in order to understand them.
If I can put this in a few words, these forms of language can help us to communicate with people in the most simplest, understandable, or even most quickest ways; to facilitate our understanding of the things, and to connect ideas more easily. This, though, is commonly used in informal and spoken English, so what sense would make it to put these types of words in a formal essay for your job?

Collocations: what I understood from the videos presented. first "collocations" refers to the way we conjugate a specific word with another that gives meaning to the speaker. The following concept is about "idioms": they are expressions with a figurative sense, that is, not literal to the words used in them. for example, the phrase "I feel blue" doesn't mean a person is blue or turning blue but it means feeling sad. Now "Phrasal Verbs": Are made up of two parts, a verb and a preposition, most of which are of literal meaning, however, there are cases of figurative meaning.
These four concepts could help us develop our communication skills in a better way. and the conjugated words of a structure specifically with other figures have a meaning that could help us to understand more accurately the expressions and references to the English language.

From what I understood in the video, collocations are a set of words that cannot be literally understood as they are written since they could be understood in a strange way, but for those who know the true meaning, like the natives, it is natural and easy to understand.
idioms: are those expressions that should not be taken literally if not rather they want to explain or express something in a more figurative way. As for the phrasel verb, they are those verbs that, when adding a preposition or an adverb, completely change their meaning and are used depending on the context since some are also used figuratively, changing the meaning of what is written.
