In the poem "Because I could not stop for death", the theme is deciding to be alone and the theme for the poem "Tell the truth but tell it slant", is that the truth is better told than hidden. Line 4 in "Tell all the truth but tell it slant" means that telling the truth can be a big surprise. Line 3 in "Because I could not stop for death" means that the author is cutting off most people better than herself. Line 3 supports the theme for "Because I could not stop for death" by showing that the author has made the decision that she wants to be alone. Line 4 in "Tell the truth but tell it slant" supports the theme by showing what would happen if the truth is told.
