How social media changed the dynamics of human interactions?

1. Social media changes a person's life by making daily communication easier; people can now interact in less than a second, and it allows you to connect with friends and family on the other side of the world. However, social media has an impact on our daily lives and our perspectives on things.

2. Social media has also changed the way that we interact, mainly the way we have lost some of our social skills. Some people are completely incapable of carrying on a normal conversation or interacting with people in person because of their dependency on social media. Social networks are becoming one of the dominant ways we communicate. Snapchat or Instagram, anyone?? People are more obsessed with checking their smartphone every 2 minutes than engaging in meaningful conversation with their child or spouse. Social media and technology are double-edged swords. It’s awesome to have and can really help us, but it also distracts us to the point of being blind and deaf to everything else going on.
How issues in relation to online technology have affected your way of dealing with people around you?

1. We can now share our thoughts with a much larger audience thanks to social media networks, but there are some drawbacks. Every day, social media causes a variety of issues. By focusing on issues rather than our communications, we will become more isolated and have less social interaction with others, which will have an impact on our social skills. This affects me by controlling my actions and focusing solely on the issues, and occasionally bringing it up in person where it may have an impact on someone else's life.

2. Not only has technology affected the dating world, but it also has affected relationships and marriages. Actor Aziz Ansari, who stars in the TV show "Parks and Recreation," (interestingly enough) wrote a book called "Modern Romance." He worked with sociologists and interviewed people to ask them how technology has affected their romantic relationships. Along with facilitating relationship building, especially for long distance relationships, there are aspects that have negatively affected relationships. People are reliant on texting or FaceTiming to discuss problems or things they wouldn't necessarily say in-person. Communication is one of the most important aspects of a relationship, how can you rely on texting to help progress a relationship?

On a more personal note. How has social media changed you? Have you in any way become “Unsocial”?

1. I used to be an extrovert who enjoyed socializing with everyone, but after using technology as a medium of communication and study for the past two years, I've become socially awkward, which has reduced my social interaction and social skills whenever I leave the house. Social media also made me unsocial by exposing me to potentially harmful effects such as anxiety, stress, and depression.

2. Social media has not made me “unsocial” in any way. It has actually made me smart social. I do not need thousands of friends to make me feel special. What matters are the people in life who are really there for you. The ones that you can rely on through the thick and thin. Most people on social media were fake and not really my friend. They showed you what they wanted to see through filters.I connect with the people in my life. I call and text them often. We meet in person or virtually. We know what is going on in each other’s lives. We are there no matter what. We support each other and not judge. There are no filters needed as we are each beautiful in our own way.So social media has taught me what really matters in life. I am more grateful and happy. I do not need to broadcast my life to validate it. I can just be me and surround myself with true friends. Thank you social media!
What do your parents tell you about the use of social media in your household? Do you have any restriction at home when it comes to online communication?

1. There are advantages and disadvantages to using social media and the internet in our homes. The advantage is that it brings us closer to our father who lives hundreds of miles away, but the disadvantage is that the people in our homes are falling apart and growing farther apart. My parents constantly remind us not to become engrossed in our gadgets because it will result in poor eyesight and headaches that could be dangerous. They may remind us from time to time, but there are no such restrictions in our home, which may explain why we aren't as close as we are.

2. While many parents value social media as a general information resource, far fewer say they find useful parenting information while using it. Because social media could be beneficial to my parents, there are no restrictions in our home.

Although social media and the internet have many advantages, they can also be harmful to us and others. Many negative effects of social media on us are unavoidable, such as a loss of face-to-face communication between family and friends, as well as many side effects, such as anxiety, that will haunt us for the rest of our lives. Allison Graham's observation is valid, because today's social media users, especially children, don't have time to disconnect from their phones and can't live without them. They will become more active if we just devote more time to important things like learning lessons in schools, children doing household chores, or playing outside.
