To began Christ is proof that death can be a passage to life eternal. For the Catholics they are judged at the moment of death. They would either go to heaven or hell or purgatory awaits them. Those who have repented their sins go to heaven. The unrepentant and sinful will go to hell.some who were in between will wait in purgatory where their souls are cleansed. The Anointing of the sick is when a person is just about to die they ask for forgiveness of their sins if they can't then their minister will do so. There are many different types of funerals throughout the world but the one of the main ones is a wake , or a period of mourning and prayer, precede to the funeral.
