Maya has dark brown hair and the darkest brown eyes anyone has ever seen. She use to love reading and writing books with her friends, before the world shut down of course. Maya's favorite book genre is historical fiction with a touch of silence and a comfy reading space. One of Maya's absolute favorite thing to do is taking photos of the flowers in her back yard, whilst playing with her dog. When Maya has free time she'll go into her room and draw. Before the pandemic Maya used to help her cousins organize their home.

I slowly leaned over with the broom in hand, and peeked into the tiny hole as a squirrel scurried out! I jumped back dropped my broom and hid with my sister behind the couch. I sat and laughed until I took a deep breath, grabbed my broom and hid behind more cushions. I could hear my parents shooing the squirrel out the doors, I watched through the slits in between the pillows. The tiny squirrel burst out through the blankets, we had put down on the floor as a makeshift tunnel for the squirrel. The moment moved slow as the squirrel jumped onto the porch, my parents slammed the door and we all laughed for the rest of the night.

(Sorry, this isn't very scary. For me it was more of a fun-scared thing that happened)

I could feel myself drifting off, only thirty minutes into school and I it was already boring me. I heard a loud knock on the door and perked up stealing a quick glance at the clock before our P.E. coach came in with his loud boisterous voice, "Do you guys want to clean up the chairs in the gym?"
Something that would, at any other time, sound like something any of us wouldn't do, made us jump out of our seats in excitement. Suddenly we all froze and looked to our teacher for approval, she sighed then nodded and we we were out the door running down the hallways and collectively pushing open the doors to the gym. Everyone in there own little groups sprinted towards a section of the chairs to start collapsing them. We talked while folding the chairs, played games to see who could do it the fastest, even set up a small assembly line (for folding and putting away the chairs of course). And over all had a fun time, I think our P.E. teachers liked us more after that as well.

I remember it like it was yesterday, October 25th; cold, wet, I walked into the large entrance and stopped. Looking around the enormous building overflowing with curious parents and kids. It was a building that you couldn't take it in all at once, an architectural masterpiece, designed with a hand of precision and grace. My friend, Emma, pulled one my wrist and nodded to the long registration line.
"Think we can get in before addmisstions closes?" she whispered to me.
"It'll be tight, but I think so, also why is it so quite in here? There are, like, a thousand people." I whispered back to her. She shrugged and pulled me forward.
