But this pointless game is going to be as amazing as dangerous...

My review: This short story of black humor is surprising. The suspense is perfect. Moreover, the story offers a pretty funny morality.
I highly recommend this story if you want to be chocked and smile because of a weird story.

Desroches Maxime
There's a Man in the Habit of Hitting Me on the Head with an Umbrella by Fernando Sorrentino
The genre : Humor
3 Pages
Pitch : The story is about a man sitting in a park one day and suddenly starts to get hit by a man with his umbrella cyclically. The beaten man tries several times to escape from him thinks about going to the police but thinks about the possible consequences this could create. He tells us this story 5 years later and the man still hits him on the head and the mute and emotionless man does not get tired. The defeated one even thinks in the end that it would be impossible to live without him despite the various means previously put in place to.

My review: This short story is both interesting and funny because like the narrator at the beginning we do not understand the situation and the reasons of the man to do this and later as the man struck we get used to the presence of the mute with the umbrella.

http://www.eastoftheweb.com/short-stories/UBooks/TherMan.shtml

In his letters Daniel explains to Crystal that he knows what really happened that night and that it's her fault that she's in jail. He's trying to get her out of jail, and as the exchange goes on, Crystal becomes the only one
friend that Daniel never had.

The review :
I didn't like that story.

The Day that I Died by Shendl Pratt is the story of the last day of life and preparing to die. The main character is twenty-seven years old, Amber. She lives in a time where everyone has a fixed date of death. After saying goodbye to her family, she is placed in a hotel room to await her death. However, something has gone wrong. She is still alive. She escapes. She outsmarts death.

He begins the first day of the rest of his life.
The story evokes mixed feelings in me. I cannot answer unequivocally whether I liked it or not. It certainly raises reflections on the meaning of human life. Personally, I would not like to know the date of my death. Like Amber, I would try to escape death. I would like to continue living.

A man watching her next to the palm trees and comes meet her . A connection was quickly established between the two characters . Then their conversations deepened an Lisa told the sad story of the loss of her baby and the reasons for her divorce .

- I really enjoyed the story from the beginning to end . Even if in a way it is a bit sad , it has a good ending . The end is very unexpected because we learn that the boy in the campagny of Lisa is in reality James and that they have after their conversations renewed their promise . I liked the originality of the turn of events .

"The Initiation" is a short story written by Tommy Dejosia.

It is part of the crime genre and consists of 4 pages.

It tells the story of a Latino teenager living in great precariousness with his mother in the United States, she worked hard and sometimes even gave her body... At a party he meets a young boy who is part of a kind of Latino gang who offers him to join them to earn a lot of money, for which he kills a young violinist from the high school.

This news is rather interesting, one absolutely wants to know the continuation. It's like reading a summary of a series or a movie!! What is also nice is that the situation and the life of each character has been explained, so we understand them even better.

I only advise it to people who are not easily disgusted because it can speak in organs without censorship but not much ;)

Call of Nature by William Heath
Genre : Horror
15 pages
Pitch: A night, during a travel with his friends, a young man named Dave leave the four-by-four of his friend to go in a forest to urinate. Then, he meets a strange woman who reproach him for dishonouring an old tree by this act; further to which Dave have itches and his body start to change.
Review: The beginning of the story put us quickly in the atmosphere. However, it’s more a moralistic story; we can see what happen when someone doesn’t respect the environment: Call of Nature is a good lesson about this respect that we must have with the idea of “don’t do to others what you wouldn’t like they could do to you”. It's an interesting story.
