3. Team radios are used in F1. The drivers can either ignore the team radios or listen to them. Listening to team radios will benefit the drivers because they will be giving feedback about how the car is performing or if there is any problems with the car. There are many different types of personal equipment in sport but the main types in football are: shin pads, shoes, and clothing. Personal equipment is some of the most important equipment because it is normally customised depending on the player or performer. For example in football boots are the main piece of personal technology that has been developed for example through computer technology and testing to make them lighter and more durable this piece of equipment is personal because each individual likes their boots differently some players may like boots that are more fitted such as sock boots and some may prefer leather boots. Boots also have benefits such as being more fitted to the player’s feet allowing them to get more control over the football technology through measurements has enabled players to get a much more fitting shoe which can intern give them more accuracy for shooting dribbling and other movements like passing. Other personal technology in football would be the clothing which has been developed and designed to be breathable so they can stay cool while playing in game. Other personal equipment that may be developed through technology are shin pads which will be developed to be lighter and stronger so they can keep players safe and the pads will be durable this technology is also personal because lots of players will prefer different types and sizes of shin pads some players may want a larger pad so they are more protected, some players may prefer a smaller lighter pad so they are more versatile. Most sports have personal equipment some other examples of equipment that would be developed through technology and used as personal equipment would be the helmet in F1 racing which will be developed to become stronger and more durable for in the instance if a crash the racer would be safer because technology has developed the helmet to make it stronger through using different compounds to give a lighter and stronger helmet. This equipment is personal because the driver will have decide how heavy they want the helmet and what materials for it to made out of.

For example the PSG player Neymar JR says he likes the PSG Jordan boots because they have been specifically designed to be versatile and comfortable, which fits his play style very well. So it is the technology behind the comfort and tight fit around the shoe that makes the Neymar want those specific boots due to the technology that makes them the quality that they are. Selection is also about the facilities is also affect by how developed the facilities are and how technologically advanced the environment is that the player or performer is in. an example of this is a team may to choose to train fitness in a hypoxia chamber because this will increase how efficient the body is at using oxygen since it gets used to working with less of it. The reason a player would choose to train in this environment is because the technology behind it means he can get the best development for his fitness.

The drivers skill is important but its just as important that the car fast and all the benefits it needs to win a race. This process will be done through developing the car with technology. It goes for all sports in that the best technology will make you perform better. For the Mansfield football team an example of this could be that a goal keeper that is using a new set of gloves that have just came out from new technological advancement in grip and protection of the hands means that he is likely to do better than the player that has an older pair of gloves. The personal equipment affects sporting performance drastically since if you have 2 players of the same calibre the player with the better personal equipment, whether that be gloves, boots ext. is going to do better because the technology behind the more advanced personal equipment is designed to help him do that.
