On a Friday afternoon, I was getting ready to the airport using my white Mission Trip t-shirt. At around 8 pm, I'm on my way to the airport and when I arrived I gathered with my group at 22.30 pm and say goodbye to families.

Day 1

After landing at Manado, we were starving and we directly ate breakfast since we took off from Jakarta at 2 am WIB and landed at 6 am WITA. After breakfast, we went to Tomohon and checked in at a villa that we booked days before. The teacher gave us some time to rest at the villa so we have the energy to visit the first orphanage in the afternoon named "Panti Asuhan Mefiboset". Once we got there, we invited the kids to sing along and after that we do some painting with the kids.

After all the activities that we had with the kids there, we say goodbyes to them and took a picture together. Then we went to a restaurant to have dinner together but first we went back to the villa to put our things so we did not have to carry things from the orphanage.

It's Sunday morning and after we ate breakfast at the villa, we went to a church in Tomohon. We sang together infront of the people there, but before that we also hear the pastor's sermon. After the church was done, we have activities in Sunday school. I had so much fun singing, dancing, and playing some games with the kids there.

After we have our service at the church, we went to "Nazareth Orphanage". We have exercises there, games about the Bible, and besides all that me and my friends personally have a talk and doing some joke with a few of the kids there. We ate dinner after visiting the orphanage, and we went back to the villa at around 20.30 WITA.

It's another day in Tomohon and we the first place we visited was one of the craziest place I've ever been to which is the "Pasar Ekstrim". They sell varies of meats like dogs, snakes, bats, etc. Many of us got a little nauseous from stepping into the market. After all that we went to an orphanage which is the "Panti Asuhan Tuna Grahita". It is the place where people have IQ that is below average. We made some origami there, although it was a bit difficult but they managed to do it.

After visiting the Panti Asuhan Tuna Grahita we went to "Panti Asuhan Tuna Rungu" which is for the people that is deaf. We learned hand sign to communicate with them and we played soccer with them, it was really fun.

In the afternoon, we went to "Panti Asuhan Wale Ne Oki" the room was filled by toddlers, the place is just also beside the Nazareth Orphanage. The room was really crowded since the babies there are crying and the toddlers were running around. We had so much fun, we paint together and one of the kid was really funny because he loves to push chairs around, so me and my friends would often to put a chair infront of this kid and he would push it from the corner of the room to the end.

On the fourth day we visited a school. In the first session me and my friend Kenzo taught the 9th graders about a vision board, it tells them to have a clear vision of their goals in the future. When the second session starts we taught the 9th graders about the impact of bullying, especially for students. We did some roleplaying with the kids there so it wasn't really boring.

After going to the SLH school, we went back to our villa because most of us tired after teaching students. We were given enough time to shower or sleep. Continuing on, we went to "Panti Werdha Lidya" which is a nursing home. Since they can't move a lot we sang for them and all of us had a conversation with them. I asked about their hobbies, some life advice, and how they ended up in a nursing home. The grandfather in the picture shared me his story, which left me feeling sad.

Day 5

For the last day in Tomohon we went to SD Inpres Kakaskasen. We brought bread, peanut butter, and banana. We taught them to combine the ingredients together so that the result resembles a bear. Some students even asked me if they could make it again so they could eat it.

Day 6

This day is our first day where we are free. We are in Manado and we first went to our new hotel to stay for the next two nights. In the morning we went to Paal Beach. We played at the beach for nearly 2 hours.

Our Mission Trip is officially coming to an end. It was our last day in Manado and we had a great time rafting. I told my friends that was on the same boat that when somebody got close to us we would splash them with water. After finishing rafting, we showered and changed clothes, then we went to a restaurant for lunch and packed our bags and went to the airport. For about 30 minutes, we arrived at the airport already. Lastly, we say thank you and goodbye to the drivers.

I did not expect Mission Trip to be this exciting. On my first day meeting the teacher and the other students going to Tomohon, I didn't know anyone. I felt lonely at first, but as the days went by, I started to connect with them. This helped boost my confidence, as I now had friends by my side.

Overall, It was a wonderful experience as my first Mission Trip
