I was 2 years old and my older brother had gotten a toy and had broke his toy. I also had a toy, but once my brother broke his he wanted to play with mine. I told him no because if he had just broken his toy he was going to break mines too. This is the moment that made me, and my mother, realize that I was smarter that the average person. I had to take a test to see if I could get into this program that helped prepare the kids for preschool. I was around 3 years old and was getting ready to go to preschool the next year. They tested us on things such as shapes and colors. I took the test and knew EVERYTHING so they wouldn't allow me to be in the program. When I was around 4 years old my sister was born. Shortly after this  my "dad" packed his things and left. I was very close to my dad so this was hurtful to me. Although this experience was hurtful it made me realize I can't depend on other people to make me happy. I had to depend on myself. It was the very beginning of the school year and I was registering for school and I saw volleyball players practicing. I walked in and met the coach and she said I could try out. I tried out a few days before school started and I made the team. This made me realize that certain things happen at certain moments that are just meant to be. I started watching a few things on track and field and there was this even that really interest me, throwing. The girls and boys would throw a disc and a metal ball. I was very interested in this because you can tell it was very mechanical and had a lot to do with strength. This moment really made me see that girls and boys can do a lot of the same things.
