The story could be related to the subjects - the people in the photography , or about the photographer - why they took the picture . In this situation ,we as a lobby group could use photographs to change the perception of our community about the Muslim people. At the moment the media is flooded with images that may portray Muslim individuals inflicting pain to ' innocent victims , these are images of the bombings . Such images even though subjective and maybe biased can easily be the face of the Muslim people and the Muslim religion . To counteract this scenario I would encourage photographers (novice/ professional , you and I to take images that will show a constructive and positive image of the Muslims and their religion .

Through this initiative , I think that most individuals would be able to express themselves and depict images of how they would like the entire world to view them . I would expect pictures showing Muslims as everyday individuals , going on with their business , volunteering , at work - doing different kinds of jobs , participating in all community activities . I believe such images can empower the community to hand a different perception and reduce islamophobia

As a International relations major who's studied a number of foreign languages, including Persian, I'd like to focus on language as means of bringing together peoples of diverse cultural backgrounds.

Learning even basic expressions in foreign languages is of course a great way to engage with people and break down barriers.

But rather than just teaching a few phrases, I'd emphasise the rich influence languages from Islamic countries have had on English. Words such as paradise and jungle, algebra and alcohol, caravan and coffee, are all of Middle Eastern origin.

I think the district Arabic script could be incorporated into the event, giving people the opportunity to write or have their name written in Arabic characters, which I'm currently trying to master myself.

Throughout my travels in the Middle East and Asia, I've discovered how much sport can be a unifying force, both playing or discussing it.

I think a great way to encourage young people to attend the event, would be to include sport such as football, volleyball and cricket, which are popular throughout certain Muslim majority countries.

While neither art nor Islamic, sport brings people together in a way rarely possible with other activities, as people from all over the world often share the same sporting idols and teams, and of course the love of the game.

When addressing the 'fear of Islam' I think it's important to focus not just on the interesting diversities between cultures, but also the things in life that unite us as well, and as they say, sport is a great leveller.

The visual medium provides a greater mode of interaction with audiences which I believe to be greatly beneficial to the learning process.

In combination with this, I would also feel it appropriate to have pamphlets available that not only give information about the event and what is on display, but also a simple outline of the components of the video for people to refer to.

In order to educate people on the fundamentals of Islam, I have researched the core teachings and principles of the religion, categorised for inclusion in the video and pamphlets.

1. Islam: in a religious context, the word Islam translates to "voluntary submission to God".

2. Religious text is known as the Qur'an, the word of God, whom they identify as Allah. Muslims believe that the purpose of life is to worship God.

3. Originated in Mecca, Saudi Arabia

4. Muslims identify Prophets as human messengers of God, instructed to bring his will to people of the nations.

5. The Five Pillars of Faith:
Testimony
Prayer
Alms-Giving
Fasting
Pilgrimage

These are just a few of the fundamental elements of the Islamic faith that would be expanded upon in the video and in the pamphlets.
