Dinners

I won't get into Grace here. But the onsite seemed a little chaotic also. There were lots of them, but I didn't really know who was my person for the dinners. I would get a random text from someone saying they were there and ready for us. My memory from past meetings is that I knew who it was when I was at the hotel and they stayed with us the whole time.

Guests Dropping Into Meetings

Specifically Gareth. This is the second meeting in a row where he just drops into meetings without planning ahead. It was very disruptive to FoC and not appropriate. He needs to be intentional about which sessions he joins and plan it ahead of time. "I'm just here to observe and learn from the committee." Educating him is not the purpose of Leadership Meetings. He joined during a connection exercise and caused Andre to change the order of the agenda.

Fidgets

The peg boards were not very popular, but I wonder if it was because we left them in the packages.

The Awani beaded bracelets actually became very popular fidgets. Lots of the FoC were just playing with them in their hands.

Medicine Supply

I think it would be helpful to have a fully stocked "medicine cabinet" with things like immodium and tylenol. Easy access so we can grab things for members that have issues. Kaitlin was great about sharing her personal stock of meds, but it would be good to have a variety available.

Thumb Drives

I will do better at remembering to bring the ones I have from home, but would be good to add this to the office supply list we bring with us.

Council Welcome

I'm not sure if this is something that will continue forward, but it didn't seem to work as well this time. There was lots of confusion (by the members) about where it would be and where to go afterwards. In hindsight, it would have been good to have it in Alhambra E where the Beyond Business Open House was after the welcome. Then the 3 councils could stay there and the BNC could leave.

It was a thoughtful idea of Raymond, but I'm not sure it is really necessary.

Help Getting Back from Breaks

It is always a challenge getting people to go back to their rooms after the 15 minute breaks. Some of this was waiting on coffees. But, if there was a chime or something similar to the opera or symphony where they staff go through with a 1-2 minute warning.
