         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this dance I feel that my pick up rate was good as I learnt the choreography quickly and so had more time to clean it up. I also feel that my turns were good in this dance and I didn’t fall out of them which would have made the dance messy. However I could have definately performed more using my facial expressions as this would have made the style of jazz more defined and also made the dance look cleaner. At the end of the clip you can see that we all got in each other’s way which means we couldn’t finish the dance properly so to stop this happening we could have gone in smaller groups or just spread out more. My targets from this would be to improve my confidence so I can perform the dance and get used to performing for other&nbsp;people.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Although commercial isn’t my best style I still think I did well in this class. In the dance I think my dynamics were good and I hit the music when I was supposed to, also I think my confidence was better this lesson due to being more comfortable doing commercial dance as we do it nearly everyday. However, I think I could have performed more using my face and also used my head more. For example looking to side on some movements to make the dance more exciting. I also forgot small details in the dance but as we are doing this dance again I can keep practising so I know it with no mistakes for next lesson. My targets from this lesson would be to perform the dance using my facial expressions to make the dance more exciting. <br><br>(I go out of the frame in this video because this wasn’t filmed just for me it was filmed for everyone in the group)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In these pictures you can see my splits as they are at this point in time. On my right leg I can go fully into the splits and go further but stretching over my front leg and bending backward to stretch my needle position but I need to face my hips forward so that there is no gap between my body and the floor. However on my left leg I cannot go in full split as this is my bad leg and I have always struggled with the splits on this side. Prior to this I stretched by doing lunges on both legs and furthering that stretch by putting my elbows down on the floor and then extending my front leg a little to stretch my hamstrings. To improve my splits on both sides I will ensure that I stretch each day to gradually gain flexibility on both legs and eventually become a veristile dancer by having the same flexibility on both legs. To do this I will do lunges on the left and be right each day, hamstring stretches both standing and on the floor. I will continue to post my progress each time I make an improvement. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this video I can see that this wasn’t my best attempt at the commercial dance. In the dance I feel that I did well remembering the choreography and getting the timing correct however I feel that I could have done alot  better. For example I definitely could have had alot more dynamics and hit the isolations on the beat. Also i need to use my facial expression and bodily expression more to make the performance alot stronger. Furthermore, I struggled to get the style of the dance correct as commercial is my weakest area and I need a lot of time to get comfortable doing the dance. To improve this I will start making an effort to go to commercial dance classes in my spare time and after college. My targets for next time are to be more dynamic and make the dance a lot stronger. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this video I am doing side kicks to increase the flexibility in my legs. Before this was filmed I only did very basic stretches and so they are not as high as they could be. on my right leg I find it alot easier to kick as this is my stronger and more flexible leg. However, you can see that my leg is slightly bent which has been a problem of mine for a while and to improve this I have been doing hamstring stretches to lengthen the backs of my legs. On my left leg the kick isn't as high as my right as I don't have the same amount of flexibility in this leg but my goal is to be able to be versatile on both legs. I can also see that m arms move alot when I kick my leg this is because I don't have a lot of strength in my back to keep my arms level and still. My targets are to improve my flexibility on both legs and to strengthen my arms and back so that my arms can be still when kicking my leg.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is the dance for our assessment and was practising in my spare time in this video.&nbsp;<br><br>My main strength in this video is my style. I really enjoy doing this dance as it is more of the jazz style I'm used to doing. Because I enjoy doing the dance I found it easier to do the dance according to the music. another strength was my cleanliness. I think in the video you can see that each movement is very precise snd my arms are where they should be however my arms aren't strong enough. this has been a big weakness for me throughout my training and can be seen in my self reflections. In the first movement I need to make sure my arm movements are dynamic and strong to make the dance look strong and clean. Another weakness for me was my flexibility. I didn't stretch properly before doing the dance so when I do the leap and the kick you can I am struggling to get my legs as high as I can when I am fully stretched. I need to make sure to stretch properly before dancing as I may get injured.<br>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think I did really well in performing this dance as I really like the style and the choreography. One strength would be my dynamics. The music is very strong and upbeat so I had to make sure my dancing was equal to that and I feel like I did. Commercial really isn't my strongest style and I sometimes struggle with it but I think you can a big improvement from my first commercial video on here. Another strength was was my arms. They had to be strong to make sure the dynamics were met and I think that I was very precise with my arms lines and also very clean so this made the dance look neater. I do think there was one section of the dance that looks un neat and that is the end section. I have never done that movement before and so I struggled to make it look as neat and as dynamic as the rest of the dance.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is our assessment dance piece that we were practising in our lunch time.<br><br>I don't think this was strongest attempt at the dance as it wasn't to correct bit of the music. I could definitely have used my levels more in the first section and I needed tone stronger in the first movement even though I don't really know how to do it. Another thing I need to improve is my performance of the dance, at this point in the rehearsal process I was just learning the dances and making sure I knew the sections I was in. I need to watch the music video and see how they perform the dance ad introduce this into my dancing. I do think I had a few strength such as pick up rate. I picked up the choreography quickly in the lessons and think this is why I was picked to be in so many sections and I also remember the choreography and practise as home as well which is why I can focus most of my time on the performance from now on.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One of my short term goals is to achieve my left leg splits. To do this I will stretch everyday until I am flexible on both my right and left leg. Another short term goal is doing double pirouettes on both legs. I can do double pirouettes but not all of the time, I have good turning days and bad turning days. To do this I will make a sequence to train my body into doing pirouettes everyday. Finally, my last short term goal is to be more confident. In lessons such as commercial and acting I feel unconfident performing in front others and sometimes speaking in class. To boost my confidence I will set myself a goal each day to help my confidence such as speak to someone you don't normally speak to. <br><br>One of my long term goals is to dance in musical or shows. To do this I will work hard in my jazz lessons as musicals are usually revolved around the jazz genre. Another long term goal is to dance on cruise ships. I feel that this would be a really good job for me as I really want to travel the world dancing. to this I will need to make connections with agents and be confident when auditioning. I also need to work hard in all my lessons so that I can be the best dancer possible. Finally, one of my goals from being a young age was to join a ballet company or a contempt company as these are the styles of dance that I love most. To do this I will need to focus in ballet lessons and also become more confident when talking to people in interviews and auditions. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I can see a lot of progression in my splits since the last photo. This is because during the holidays was able to stretch almost everyday and now flexibility has increased a lot in my left leg so I can sit almost in full split comfortably.Stretching everyday has also helped me in classes as i can now do deeper stretches to further my flexibility. Having a lot of flexibility is important in dace as employers look for versatility and having a skill like this will help you go far in the dance arena. I want to reach full left and right leg splits by the end of January so that I can move onto improving something else.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

I have got closure to the floor on my left leg and I can now sit comfortably in the right leg splits almost every time. I need to make sure the flexibility in both my right and left leg is the same as this will help me in the future. I stretch everyday and I have now created my own stretching routine to help with this. I have seen a big difference in my flexibility recently and I will continue to do this until I am satisfied with where I am flexibility wise.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is my recent development pf my splits and I can see that have improved a lot over the course of me posting the pictures on this padlet. My left splits have improved a lot more than my right leg as I was already fully down on my right leg. At the beginning I coldly sit comfortably on both legs but now I can sit comfortably on my right leg and also use an overspilt box some of the time and on my left leg I am now closer to ground and on occasion I can it comfortably. I have a set stretching exercises I do every day to help further my flexibility and I can now see this is helping me immensely.</div>]]></description>
