In this school I know a LOT of people who read at home every once in a while. You can kind of tell based on how the person acts. Have they considered reviewing middle school teens? I mean.... 8th grade is 13, 14, and the rare 15. So technically, we are teens as well. I think they focus a bit much on the higher ups instead of maybe looking at our range.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like reading as much as the next person, but it is just not very stimulating, especially with our shortening attention spans. And yes, this is true, but it is not an issue, well at least compared to other problems with society, such as our failing education system, how broke millennials are, or the 'epidemic' of depression, anxiety, etc. Or maybe how the baby boomers ruined our future. Just look up relatable memes and you can see the many problems with our society. This article just seems like a complaint from some baby boomer that wants things the way they were ' back in my day, ' and who probably doesn't know how to turn on an iPhone.

It is a widespread problem that almost everybody is involved is but not everybody is involved in the help. A lot of kids and teenagers don't read as much anymore because they like to spend more time with their friends or stay on their phones. There are very little amount of people who like to read in this school. Which is a concern to me. I like reading time to time but sometimes, I'm not really in the mood too.
