However some points that could have been improved was the duration of our first unit as we could have been much more efficient as we spent 3 classes learning codes. This impacted our overall summative as towards the end we were requesting extra time for the summative as well.

I think something that could be improved is the time allotments since in the first unit we spent over 3-4 classes focussing on code, which resulted in us needing more time to complete our own projects. However, in the second unit we had more than ample time to complete our work and did not focus much on learning the techniques or concepts. Apart from this, since design is a very hands on subject our engagement and involvement with one another and the class was limited due to everything being digital.

Next year, I would like to explore some more digital versions of design- maybe other code languages or developing different kinds of software elements.

I think that the first unit for design was well thought through, first with giving us some background in HTML, and then starting with the design journal. However, I think that the IDU unit was a little bit confusing, because we had two separate summatives and it was all a little complicated. Otherwise, this was a good experience.

I would like to see topics like space tech and other coding languages in design next year. Understanding components of design without being able to see and do it with the teacher physically, was quite an adaptation. Despite that,  I wholeheartedly feel that this design year, was beneficial to my improvement as a student in design, and as a learner in the other subjects.  The good things this year, was the clear cut instructions that we received. These instructions gave us clarity and better understanding during these unusual times, allowing us to get marks in the higher criteria. Another great thing, was the adaptation of the summatives. Since in design, the summatives took into consideration this new situation. So instead of making us use material that would require the school resources, we were permitted to use homemade resources allowing us to still come up with a effective product. Lastly, I feel, the time given for the summative was quite sufficient, although I still need to work on my time management. This year, I have grown majorly as a learner, I learned how to format a process journal(through the IDU). I also learned how to communicate my ideas better through the several reflective tasks and procedures. Overall, I have also understood time-management better through criteria C1 and C3 although there is still a large scope of improvement.

The lack of interactive activities according to me made the classes a little less engaging. i feel like next year something really crucial to be added is the amount of activities we do on call as a class this way the students would be more interested in whats happening. Additionally, I felt like the time we had to complete few big tasks were not that much especially during the IDU unit since all our other subjects during the same time needed a-lot of attention. i feel like that may have effected the results.  As a learner I have definitely learned how to be more independent and  self sufficient since most of the work was done by us with very less help from others unlike what it would have been like in school. Even though we had online school, I think the teachers planned the units very well and in detail so that we were clear about the task and what we had to do. However, there were a few things that could've been improved like the amount of time we got. I think that if we had got more time, the quality of our work would have been better since sometimes we had to finish like 2 strands in one class which wasn't really possible. 

I also think that the first unit was quite nice since we got to do coding and digital design but I think  IDU was slightly confusing and in the second unit, we should have just made our actual product instead of the CAD model.

I feel like during the first unit and the second unit we had short of time, this was because we had to an entire journal and then also make a product symentinously which made it more difficult to keep up with the time. 

During the IDU unit I feel as though we got sufficient time to do everything we had to and finish our product and do the presentation. 

Though I liked working on the website a lot aswell.

I reflect that my work should have been spread out over more days and not done at the last second. I also need to pay attention during the instructions as sometimes I am confused on the task making me waste time by asking the teacher to explain it once again. I feel like I have to improve on how I write my design journal and take more time to see if I have done it the right way and if it has details and things like that. My Feedback is that the teachers should ask this students about the work they have done in the class to make sure they are on track and not lagging behind. This year was quite average due to online school, however I feel that I have made the most of it, and have enjoyed online school as much as I can by being more focused in class discussions. I think I could still be more focused in the asynchronous time and divide my journal and product design work well so I can get better results.

We were always given tasks and activities to finish in class and the teachers explained everything with detail before we started a task therefore I didnt find it challenging to understand the task and objective although I feel like in some units we were given very less time to finish our work especially towards the end, because during the IDU unit all of us had multiple summatives at the same time and it was hard to do everything together. I think this could affect how we were able to perform in the IDU summative because I personally think the stress and lack of time restricted me from performing to my full capacity during the summative.

In Unit 1 we had to do html coding which was a completely new concept for me because my technical skills are not that great however i think the teacher thought me the codes correctly and sh was open to any doubts i had. The other design unit we had (Idu) I think we could have had more time- 1 more class to complete the slides as The slides were rushed up as the slides was share about 1.5 days prior. 

Next Year I hope to have more units based on product design, this is because I have observed or rather in my perspective we spend 3/4 of the year foccusing on coding.
