I enjoyed looking up pictures of sea life and contributing the same details in the photos I thought were cool into my project. Although working on the project was challenging at times in order to make everything look the way I wanted it to, I had a lot of fun creating it. I also enjoyed experimenting with cool types of glazes. I was able to use a wide variety of colors to bring out details in my project. I had three choices. I could either create a pot or bowl with animal characteristics or to actually make an animal based off of the results of a spirit animal quiz that was required for inspiration for the project. I chose to make an animal. This project consisted of making multiple individual coils and putting them together to form an animal. It was difficult to make the amount of coils needed for the project. I had to also create different designs and types of coils to make my project interesting. Over all, my favorite part of the project was glazing it because even though we were supposed to use natural looking colors, it was still fun using element glazes and seeing how realistic they made the project look after all of the work I had put into it.]]> 2017-01-23 02:30:29 UTC https://padlet.com/abbym2417/shbqe9os0s42/wish/148611603 abbym2417 https://padlet.com/abbym2417/shbqe9os0s42/wish/148612594 I am currently working on a soft slab project that requires me to make either a vase, a lantern, or both of the options combine. This is the first project I have made so far that requires any type of slab. This project is also different from the rest because we don't have as many requirements as we did for the other two projects. We get to pick whether we want it to be a vase or a lantern and we get to pick exactly what the project will look like. This is an even more independent project than the rest. Forming the soft slabs and the shape we needed for the project is the most challenging part of the project. I just recently finished that process and I am now adding designs to it. I can't wait to see how the project ends up turning out.
