Additionally, I would like to encourage and educate my students about the importance of being a good citizen and contributing to the overall safety of their community. This includes teaching students how to be safe and courteous online. I think these two, for me go hand in hand. Learning the ins and out of teaching will come as we continue on into our next year, but because I am still learning how to teach, I think that, and learning how to work with my co-workers (fellow teachers, my grade-level team, administrators, etc) are the areas in which I need the most growth. This class is very encouraging because it seems like we will be learning applicable information! Something we (well, I shouldn't speak for everyone..but, I will..) haven't had much of this summer! It's very refreshing to be in a class that's teaching how to teach using technology (something I was very unfamiliar with) and how to utilize that tech to make your job easier and more efficient. After a quick google search, I found ALL of these groups and associations that are for Minnesota educators. It includes links to all of their individual websites which I thought was super helpful.
